A popular touring Vincent Van Gogh exhibit is coming to Camp North End this month with immersive projections of the Dutch post-impressionist’s famous works.
The tour, Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit, is presented by Blumenthal Performing Arts and Lighthouse Immersive.
What to expect: The exhibit showcases over 500,000 cubic feet of projections and animated brushstrokes, allowing you to step into Van Gogh’s famous works like Sunflowers and The Starry Night. The experience is pulled together with music from the Italian composer Luca Longobardi.
- “This glorious feast for the senses is unlike anything our city has ever seen,” said Blumenthal President Tom Gabbard in a press release.
Dates: The massive digital art experience will run from Thursday, June 17 to Sunday, September 12. Tickets are now on sale for $39.99+.

The big picture: The exhibit saw over 2 million visitors when it was in Paris, and showings were consistently sold-out in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. It also served as a setting in the popular Netflix series “Emily in Paris.”
- All that to say, it’s a big deal that it’ll be in Charlotte.
Covid-19 safety measures include a dispersed entry model, floor markings of socially distanced circles and stringent sanitizing protocols.
