Young Icons Music Festival is a 3-day outdoor event for ages 11-17 and emerging artists to immerse themselves in music and Charlotte’s community with Will White, American Idol Season 12 Alum, and Grindhaus Studio Owner and Neo-soul Artist Jason Jet.

9 AM – Artist Talk + Breakfast at Grindhaus Studios

10 AM – Young Icons Workshops at Grindhaus Studios

• Songwriter workshop
• Producer worshop
• Artist one-on-ones (15-min intervals)

3 PM – Live Beat Battle (Pre-competition) at Grindhaus Studios

6-8 PM – YVY Skate Night and Ice Cream Party w/DJ at Camp North End

Friday, August 4

11 AM – Artist Talk + Brunch at Grindhaus Studios

Who are the Young Icons?

Young Icons is a youth nonprofit where your teen’s creativity, songwriting, and stage presence abilities are challenged and developed in fun and exciting ways.

Our top priority is to inspire recording artists and build their confidence in the natural ability to dream and create. One of our biggest successes is bringing in real producers and artists to facilitate life-changing experiences for teens.

Is your teenager an exceptional singer or songwriter?

Our Young Icons are presented with fun, yet challenging recording projects encouraging creative problem-solving, teamwork, confidence, and growth. Experienced musicians and coaches lead Young Icons in a professional studio environment.

This is our 6th year, and our curriculum is inspired by National Recording Artists “Jason Jet and Will White”!
