Mario Kart 64 Tournament
Introducing an immersive BIG screen Mario Kart 64 tournament at Camp North End! Were throwin it back to the 90s with this Nintendo classic!
We hope you can join us and Black Moth Bars on Thursday nights in April in the Be Kind, Rewind event space (historic Ford building) at Camp North End for a very special Mario Kart 64 tournament on the big screen!
We will also have our arcade tent set up for you to enjoy in-between matches as well as free play on 2 additional TVs (Gamecube & Super Nintendo)

Admission: Tournament entry – $5 (+taxes & fees) | Spectating – FREE!
Location: 1774 Statesville Ave. Charlotte, NC
Ages: All ages are welcome to compete & Spectate.
Schedule: Doors open – 6pm | Check-in 6-7pm | Tournament Begins – 7pm
Prizes:
1st place – Cash prize of $100-200 (Depending on the number of entries)
2nd place – Black Moth Bars gift card and Aurora SLC T-shirt
3rd place – Black Moth Bars gift card
Food & Drink: Black Moth Bars will have cocktails, beer, snacks, and N/A beverages available for purchase
Tournament Rules:
The tournament will be a double elimination bracket – 64 player max
*The following may be adjusted depending on the total number of entries
– 1st round – 64 players (4 per race – 16 races)
– 2nd round – 32 players (4 per race – 8 races)
– 3rd round – 16 players (4 per race – 4 races)
– 4th round – 8 players (2 per race – 4 races)
– Final round – Top 4 players (4 per race – 3 races)
*Points will be awarded for each race in the final round – the highest total points wins – 1st – 9 points | 2nd – 6 points | 3rd – 3 points | 4th – 1 point
All courses will be randomly selected and played at 150cc
Character selection for each race will depend on a number randomly chosen during check-in | new numbers will be selected after each round
No pausing
The use of known glitches will result in the forfeiture of race. Skillcuts (i.e., Wario Stadium and Rainbow Road jumps) are ALLOWED.
Personal remote control are ALLOWED so long as they are compatible with a Nintendo 64 console
