City of Charlotte Recycling Event

The North End communities have the highest contamination rate in the city for recycling.  Did you know that the city is only taking 6 items in the green recycle curbside bin?  Everything else is considered contamination and can cause all recycleable items to be sent to the landfill instead of being recycled.  The City of Charlotte will be handing out information this Wednesday, September 21st from 4-8 pm at the Camp North End Farmer’s Market.
Stop by to learn more!

The city can provide a second trash can if you need it for an additional fee.  Contact 311 for more information.

Become a Recycling Warrior by making sure you are only recycling items eligible for collection. Use the graphics below to find out what goes in – and what stays out!
