Start your first sewing project with Lindsey Johns, owner of Inside the Hem! In this class, Lindsey will provide guided practice and instruction to help you use your basic sewing skills to sew a beginner friendly project. She’ll cover basic sewing techniques such as cutting pattern pieces, piecing, and lining. Plan to get plenty of guided practice as you work through the steps to create a themed advent calendar that will be part of your holiday traditions for years to come!

MATERIALS

Please bring your own (or a borrowed!) standard sized sewing machine. Don’t have one? Keep an eye out for suggestions linked in your confirmation email.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS CLASS?

This class is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning how to use basic sewing skills to create a beginner friendly sewing project. A basic understanding of how to use your sewing machine is required. For a more in-depth dive into using a sewing machine, we recommend taking our Get Started Sewing class (offered quarterly).
