Friday Nights at Camp: Dante Fowler + Unheard Project

Join us at Camp North End on Friday, May 3 for a FREE show featuring Dante Fowler + Unheard Project! Music begins at 6 pm.

DANTE FOWLER: Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, trumpeter and educator Dante Fowler has spent his career across the US and internationally playing a vast repertoire spanning from early traditional New Orleans music to a variety of classical, funk, salsa, and swing music. He has made appearances at the Pittsburgh Jazz Festival, Charlotte Jazz Festival, and the 2022 Jack Rubin National Jazz Championship at Lincoln Center in New York City. Dante attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he studied Music Performance in the prestigious Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program. During this time, he and the program provided multiple concerts, music education courses, and outreach opportunities throughout the NC Triangle area.

UNHEARD PROJECT: Unheard Project GSO, a multi-member collective of some of the Piedmont Triad’s best musicians, was born out of hundreds of hours of practice and gigging together in the bourgeoning Greensboro scene. While many of the members are graduates of UNCG’s acclaimed Miles Davis Jazz Studies Program, the collective incorporates in-demand players from diverse genres to form a powerhouse of both original and familiar musical stylings.
